  1. Get everyone to be responsible and accountable for the success of your meetings.
    Request full participation from all participants. Foster an environment of open and honest communication. Acknowledge that everyone has a valid point of view that will be valued at meetings.
  2. Start all meetings on time and end all meetings on time.
    When a person is late, make a request in private that he/she honour start times to ensure meeting effectiveness for future meetings.
  3. Introduce the rule of one conversation at a time.
    If a side conversation occurs, stop speaking and create silence or ask the “offenders” to share their thoughts with the group.
