Dr. Nancy MacKay, Ph.D.
Dr. Nancy MacKay is the founder and CEO of MacKay CEO Forums, the highest impact and least time intensive peer group for over 1200 CEOs, Executives and business owners around the world. With a dream to populate the world with inspiring leaders, she founded MacKay CEO Forums in 2005, after seeing firsthand the tremendous value of having CEOs come together to learn from each other, and to help each other deal with their toughest issues and challenges. Over 60 Forum Chairs, who are all very successful trusted advisors, facilitate over 100 peer learning groups, involving over 700 meetings and retreats each year.
Nancy is a CEO coach, Forum Chair, dynamic keynote speaker, published author and a former university professor. She is the host of the weekly MacKay CEO Forums EDGE events with thousands of CEO, Executive and Business Owner participants from around the world. Nancy holds a B.Math and a Masters degree in Management Sciences from the University of Waterloo, as well as a Ph.D in Business from Canterbury University in New Zealand. She is the co-author with Alan Weiss of “The Talent Advantage” by Wiley Publishing.
Nancy lives in BC, Canada. She loves to play squash and enjoys travelling the world with her family.
Nancy is on the board of Blueprint (the Men’s Initiative), which is a catalyst in the conversation of men in the world to help men be a force for equity, compassion, and sustainability.
Richard Boyer, CPA, CA
Richard is a CPA, CA and brings more than 25 years of senior business leadership experience in both private and public growing firms. As the Chief Financial Officer for Mackay CEO Forums, Richard looks after all aspects of Finance and Administration for the firm.
Richard’s prior experience includes roles as both CEO and CFO in the manufacturing, construction, real estate, professional services, distribution, and cannabis industries.
Richard’s mantra is that while accurate and timely data is absolutely required for growing firms, it is how the firm’s leadership uses that data and collaborates with all stakeholders that ultimately leads to success.
Richard and his wife, Marianna, reside in Kelowna, BC. Their two adult children have achieved their own successes and reside in Alberta.
As the Chief Financial Officer for MacKay CEO Forums, Richard looks after all aspects of Finance and Administration for the firm. Richard also participates in Advisory Board meetings as the firm’s senior finance officer.
Supported by a team of 2, they oversee accounting, member management, information technology, payroll, banking and treasury, risk management, budgeting and forecasts, contracts and agreements, policies and procedures, and generally all administrative matters.
Rocky is our Chief Innovation Officer (CINO) whose role is to accelerate and entrench the innovation capabilities of MacKay CEO Forums. This position plays a strategic role in the continual evolution of the MacKay CEO Forum business model and value created for the members and partners.
Rocky couples a decade of senior leadership roles in large organizations, with nearly 10-years in start-up tech to form what he believes is the culture and operational DNA for all modern companies. He has helped dozens of MacKay member businesses build future-proofed, resilient teams that are anchored on cultures of innovation and agility.
When not inspiring organizations about the Future of Work, Rocky is a weekend (sports) warrior who indulges in culinary delights, and hyper-prioritizes quality time with his wife and teenage daughter.
Jane draws on her diverse background spanning business, the non-profit sector and community arts to ensure we deliver exceptional experiences for our CEO members.
She is a master at establishing systems and reporting structures to increase efficiencies and effectiveness, building relationships with diverse stakeholder groups, event planning and marketing. Jane plans our high impact regional events, supports our forum chairs and organizes leading experts as guest speakers for our CEO groups.
Jane has an MBA and previously ran a multi-disciplinary art centre before joining MacKay CEO Forums. Married and a busy mother of twins, Jane is also a big supporter of community arts and sports, and their role in strengthening communities.
Zaheer joined MacKay CEO Forums as the VP of Finance in 2021 with a focus on financial management, reporting and analysis.
Zaheer’s prior experience includes extensive hands-on experience in public and private companies in retail, professional services, and telecoms industries.
Zaheer is a Chartered Accountant who obtained his designation after completing his studies at the University of Cape Town in South Africa.
Outside of the office, Zaheer is happiest outdoors. He is an ultra runner and a paraglider with a fear for heights; always looking to place himself outside of his comfort zone.
Kim is a top-rated sales performance executive, facilitator, coach, advisor, speaker, and business strategist.
Her natural affinity for business development and facilitation bodes her well as a highly regarded trusted advisor. She has her finger on the pulse of what CEOs and Executives need as we all navigate the ever-changing business landscape. She keenly understands the many nuances involved in making bold day-to-day decisions and how they play out, both personally and professionally.
Kim is a 25-year entrepreneur who has worked with executive decision makers in 100+ leading North American and Fortune 1000 companies, including BMO, Manulife, Empire Life, Sun Life, CBC, ADP, and many more. Additionally, Kim has started up and helped grow 10 businesses and business divisions.
She also designed, developed, and has run the Entrepreneurial program for executives in transition at LHH Knightsbridge Human Capital Firm for 9 years, supporting executives to confidently prepare for and take their first steps into running their own consulting or coaching practices, providing them with a proven system for success. In her private practice as well as her work with LHH Knightsbridge, she has worked with over 1800 CEOs and executives to define, structure, launch, and build consulting businesses and hone their approach to business development.
When not working, Kim can be found spending time in nature, engaged in yoga and meditation, travelling, reading, entertaining friends and family with great music, food and wine, and watching the latest crime drama series on Netflix cuddled up with her husband Craig, their dog Izzy, and cat Jelly Bean.
Claire empowers teams to get projects done. With over 30 years in both public and private sectors, Claire has experience in administration, facilitation, training, data management and company collaboration.
Claire launched a virtual assistance and small business consulting practice four years ago to help companies build out reliable and successful back-office practices and now works with MacKay CEO Forums full time as our Chair Experience Coordinator.
Claire firmly believes that we all do ‘the very best that we can, with the knowledge that we have, at any given time’. Outside of work, Claire can be found hiking the trails with her dogs or e-biking with her husband and friends.
