Laura Vaughan

Laura Vaughan is the Ontario Regional Director and Chief Learning Officer at MacKay CEO Forums, where she plays a pivotal role in supporting and developing leaders. In these capacities, she is dedicated to fostering growth, collaboration, and continuous learning within the MacKay community. Beyond her leadership responsibilities, Laura chairs two CEO peer groups and one Executive peer group in Toronto, creating dynamic environments where senior leaders can connect, share insights, and accelerate both personal and organizational success.

She is also the CEO of carrythe3 inc., enabling the world’s Managers and their CEOs to build and lead more abundant workplaces.

She brings to her work a CPA designation, a degree in Music Performance from the University of Western Ontario, and a Master’s in Management and Professional Accounting from the
University of Toronto. She earned her leadership stripes during her 7 years as President of a $40M manufacturing business, through the 2008 economic crisis – an intense season of recrafting strategy and reigniting culture while also restructuring for profitability (and raising two children under four).

Her other leadership roles include COO of a full-service law firm and General Manager of a 200-person contract manufacturing business in the personal care industry, before leaving corporate in favour of a more entrepreneurial journey.

Today, she’s on a mission to help the world’s leaders show up more competent and more confident, so the world’s workers can do the same. Laura’s life experiences include scaling literal mountains (figurative ones too), dragging herself over the finish line of a half-ironman, and saving the life of one 88-year-old man.
