Meet Kim Tofin
As a proud father of two daughters adopted from China and passionate cultural explorer, Kim brings the same curiosity and dedication to unlocking human potential from his nearly four-decade business journey.
Kim’s versatile career spans revenue generation across global high-tech markets, orchestrating two Canadian oil & gas mega-projects on-schedule and under-budget, and building a successful consulting partnership in Japan. While cultivating broad business acumen, Kim developed an appreciation for moving from predicting and managing to declaring and fulfilling – fundamentally shifting how leaders reach their most ambitious goals.
Through BREAKOUTcx, Kim’s teamship-infused leadership methodology helps CEOs and executives abandon the limiting ‘I can do it alone’ mindset. He guides organizations toward ‘teamship’—where co-elevation and radical collaboration replace command-and-control structures, transforming departmental silos into collective strategic advantages.
As Forum Chair, Kim draws from high performance team coaching experiences to support trusted and confidential spaces where CEOs safely address multi-layered issues among peers. He is a natural interpreter between non-technical generalists and highly technical specialists. Kim’s comfort level with divergent-convergent reasoning serves as a persuasive door opener for leaders choosing something else is possible for themselves, their companies, and the world.
Kim holds an ICF accredited Team Coaching Diploma from TCS London and Executive Leadership Coaching Level II Certificate from Presence-Based® Coaching. He has a BMgt from University of Lethbridge, IET-Eng from SAIT, and a post-graduate Technology Diploma in Earth Observation/GIS from COGS.
Kim supports CEOs and Executives committed to transforming from limiting soloists into courageous conductors.
