Meet James Playford

Over a 15-year career in progressively senior leadership roles, James has facilitated financial, cultural, process, and procedural improvements in organizations. As a member of the Senior Leadership Team of a publicly traded entertainment company, James was responsible for national operations, scaling multi brand and multi-unit facilities, launching a new national brand and guiding strategic and contingency planning. He led operations employing over 2,000 people and delivered outstanding growth and performance by inspiring and empowering leaders to generate and sustain exceptional outcomes.

James coaches C-Suite and emerging executives across several industries, as well as supporting the Playford Performance Group’s annual pro bono executive coaching in the not-for-profit sector. Since joining PPG in 2020, he completed the Graduate Program in Executive Coaching at Royal Roads University and achieved designation as an Associate Certified Coach with the International Coaching Federation.

James loves sports and the outdoors, hiking with his dog Matto, salmon fishing with friends and family, tending to his garden, and sharing the rewards.
