Dave is the Managing Partner and Co-Founder of Yellow Point, and spends much of his time identifying new investment opportunities and encouraging growth in existing portfolio companies.
He was previously CEO of Greenlight Power Technologies, a privately-held energy technology company that he successfully repositioned from a small niche player to the global leader in its field. In 2003, Dave engineered the sale of Greenlight to a strategic buyer. Prior to Greenlight, Dave was a Senior Vice President in the investment banking group of Merrill Lynch.
Dave holds the ICD.D Designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, an MBA from the University of Western Ontario, and a B.Com. from the University of Calgary.
He is a partner of BC Social Venture Partners, a group of business executives tackling BC’s largest social challenges through a venture philanthropy model.
On the weekends you will find Dave enjoying the great outdoors of Vancouver on a hike, bike or stand-up paddleboard. Other passions include nature photography, ultimate and coaching and playing sports with his awesome three sons.
