Paul McCullough

Paul McCullough is a MacKay CEO Forums Chair and Strategic Advisor who draws on extensive global business and public‑sector leadership experience to support MacKay Partners, Members, and CEOs. He is widely recognized for challenging conventional thinking and helping leaders to navigate complexity and drive transformational change with disciplined, forward‑looking insight.
Most recently, Paul served as Interim President and Chief Executive Officer of the British Columbia Institute of Technology (BCIT). Over more than a decade as a member of BCIT’s senior leadership team, he was the architect of INSPIRE, a transformational initiative that mobilized an unprecedented $800 million in investment in innovation and capital infrastructure, significantly strengthening the institution’s long‑term capacity, relevance, and impact.
Paul is a trusted advisor and strategic thinker with a distinguished global career. Earlier, he held progressive senior leadership roles at globally recognized organizations, including 13 years at KPMG in Hong Kong, where he served as a Principal advising a portfolio of multinational clients. He began his professional career with Unilever and HSBC in London and Dubai, developing deep expertise in governance, financial stewardship, and organizational transformation within complex international environments.
An elected Fellow of the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and an Accredited Director, Paul currently acts as a Senior Business Advisor to two large enterprises. He also serves as a board member and Audit Committee Chair of the Paralympic Foundation of Canada and is a member of the Advisory Council of the Jack Austin Centre for Asia Pacific Business Studies at Simon Fraser University.
