Social Purpose Innovator Award

WHAT IS THE WATERSTONE MACKAY CANADA’S MOST ADMIRED™ CEO SOCIAL PURPOSE INNOVATOR AWARD?

The Waterstone MacKay Canada’s Most Admired™ CEO Social Purpose Innovator Award recognizes a CEO of a Canadian for-profit company who demonstrates exceptional leadership in integrating social purpose into their organization’s culture and operations. This award is presented in partnership with MacKay CEO Forums and Waterstone Human Capital as part of the Canada’s Most Admired™ CEO Awards program.

Eligible nominees must be CEOs of Canadian or Canadian-based for-profit organizations with over 25 employees and revenues ranging from $5 million to over $5 billion. Additionally, nominees must be members of a MacKay CEO Forums peer group. ​

The Waterstone MacKay Canada’s Most Admired™ CEO Social Purpose Innovator Award has recognized the following leaders for their exceptional commitment to integrating social purpose into their organizations. The award highlights leaders who leverage corporate culture to drive social impact and organizational performance. ​

Here are past recipients of the Waterstone MacKay Canada’s Most Admired™ CEO Social Purpose Innovator Award:

  • 2024: Cathy Thorpe, President and CEO of Nurse Next Door, received the award for her dedication to improving lives through the company’s mission.​

The Canada’s Most Admired™ CEO Social Purpose Innovator Award is awarded to one MacKay CEO Forums member to recognize a CEO of a Canadian company who has achieved significant accomplishments in their career—specifically focused on using the power of corporate culture to drive social impact and organizational performance.

Qualifications

  • Nominee must be the CEO of a Canadian or Canadian-based for-profit organization with over 25 employees and revenue of $5 million-$5 Billion+
  • Nominee must be a member of a MacKay CEO Forums CEO peer group
  • Nominee does NOT require Beneficial Corporation Certification or Social Enterprise Certification
