Michael’s forum group meets 7 times per year. Each member hosts the meeting at their preferred location, which is hosted within the Greater Edmonton Area.

Sam Jenkins is the Managing Partner at Punchcard Systems and Chief Executive Officer at Standard Field Systems. With more than 25 years of experience in the digital industry, Sam is passionate about creating positive and transformative impact through technology. At Punchcard Systems, he leads a digital transformation studio dedicated to improving people, workplaces, and communities through innovative solutions. Throughout his career, Sam has co-founded and led several successful software startups, including Standard Field Systems, a software toolset designed for law enforcement; Wellnext, a workplace wellness platform; and Startup Edmonton, an innovation hub supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs. Sam’s work reflects his commitment to using technology as a force for growth, innovation, and meaningful change.

Karen Hoffman-Halwa
Managing Director and Fractional CFO, CFO Group Inc.
With over 20 years of experience in finance and accounting, Karen has led and supported a wide range of organizations in achieving their strategic and operational goals. As a Managing Director and Fractional CFO, she provides flexible and tailored solutions for clients seeking contract or project-based financial oversight and guidance. Her core competencies include cash flow forecasting and management, financial reporting and analysis, and risk mitigation and compliance. Karen has a proven track record of delivering results and driving value across diverse sectors, including oil and gas, alternative finance, real estate, telecommunications, and technology. She holds a CPA designation from CPA Canada and a Bachelor of Management from the University of Lethbridge.
