About Kate
Kate is a seasoned Senior People & Culture Leader with nearly 20 years of experience in the AEC industry. As President and Founder of HR by Design, she partners with small to mid-sized AEC firms to craft impactful People and Culture strategies that enhance workplace culture, engagement, and employee well-being.
Skilled in both strategic and operational HR, Kate brings expertise in learning and development, talent management, organizational design, total compensation, and wellness. A certified TypeCoach MBTI facilitator, she takes a behavioural approach to team connection and collaboration.
Kate is also an active industry contributor, serving as a Board Director with Sustainable Buildings Canada and previously as Secretary and Co-Director at the Engineering Human Resources Association.
