Founded in 2015, Women Get On Board Inc. (WGOB) is a social purpose company dedicated to advancing women in corporate governance and leadership. With a bold vision to build a national movement, WGOB connects, promotes, and empowers women across Canada to serve on corporate boards with confidence, credibility, and courage.
Over the past decade, WGOB has played a leading role in amplifying the voices of women leaders, board members, and professionals who are shaping boardrooms and driving meaningful change in organizations. The organization is guided by its “power of three” philosophy—the belief that while one woman in a boardroom can be seen as a token and two as a presence, three create an authentic voice that helps influence decisions and transform governance.
Women Get On Board supports women at every stage of their board journey through a range of programs and services, including board readiness education, mentorship, leadership development, networking events, community programming, and board placement support.
