Bio

Michael works with the senior leaders of growing companies. Like them, you are successful and high-performing. And so is your team. But you’re likely exhausted or heading there soon. That is the Grind. It’s like running on battery power. And in today’s world, our batteries run out faster than ever.

Michael helps you and your team plug in your leadership superpowers—the wisdom, presence, flow that get buried under anxiety and busyness. You then go on to inspire the rest of your company to do the same. With unique strengths in connection and strategy, Michael see the people and business patterns others miss. He helps you makes your work smooth and delivering on your targets and strategy. Clients say they like how quickly he gets to know them, their team, and their business. They refer to him as their Wendy Rhoades, Ted Lasso, business therapist, catalyst, or–in one case–honourary founder and partner. With his inside-outsider status, you get fresh perspective from someone who is in your corner.

Since 1999, Michael has worked across many sectors & industries with a specialty in professional services companies including those in management consulting, marketing, sales, technology, finance & accounting, and law. He quickly learns how each company works, separates the symptoms and sources, sorts through options to find best path, and helps people see their own and each other’s strengths, potential, and humanity. With connection, energy, humor, practical thinking, and systems focus, he helps leaders and their teams become solution finders. He is certified to use several organizational and personal assessment tools.

Michael is a life-long student of leadership, thriving, meaning, and good life. His vision is a world where thriving people solve our toughest problems. Prior to launching his own business, Michael honed his professional skills in consulting, sales, marketing, and engineering.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys archery, cycling, cross-country skiing, camping, studying science and philosophy, singing, tinkering, and hanging out with his wife, two adult sons, and friends—and it’s even better when they can make a meal together.
