Jamie Coulter is an accomplished board director and senior executive with more than 30 years of experience in Canada’s financial services industry, including four years as Chief Executive Officer of Raymond James Ltd. and multiple governance roles across corporate and not-for-profit organizations. His career is defined by strategic clarity, disciplined execution, and a consistent ability to lead organizations through periods of growth, transformation, and external complexity.

As Chief Executive Officer of Raymond James Ltd. from 2022 to 2025, Jamie led the firm through four consecutive record financial years. Under his leadership, Assets Under Administration grew from $60 billion to $100 billion, driven by strong advisor recruitment and enhanced productivity across the national platform. He strengthened the firm’s competitive position within Canada’s wealth management landscape by championing advisor-centric strategies, modernizing operational capabilities, and fostering a culture grounded in integrity, accountability, and long-term client value.

Jamie also served as a Director on the Raymond James Ltd. Board, providing governance oversight for the Canadian subsidiary of Raymond James Financial, a Fortune 500 company. In this capacity, he contributed to risk management, regulatory oversight, strategic planning, and enterprise-wide alignment with the parent company’s governance framework.

Beyond the corporate sector, Jamie has been actively involved in education and the not-for-profit community. As Board Chair of Crescent School from 2019 to 2024, he helped guide the institution through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, ensuring continuity of learning, financial stability, and community well-being. Working alongside fellow governors, he helped oversee two of the most significant initiatives in the school’s history: the $42 million acquisition of the Rumball Centre, which expanded the school’s campus footprint, and the launch of a $65 million capital campaign, the largest in Crescent’s history. Today, the campaign has achieved 99% of its fundraising target, reflecting strong stakeholder confidence and disciplined governance.
