Bio
Don Holmstrom is a seasoned executive with over 30 years of leadership experience across public and private companies, specializing in strategic planning, mergers and acquisitions, and corporate finance. As a CEO, CFO, and COO, he has successfully led organizations with revenues up to $200 million annually, closed more than 225 M&A transactions totaling over $1 billion, and raised over $500 million in debt and equity capital. Don founded Value Drivers Inc. in 2009, a business advisory firm that has served over 50 clients across various industries, providing expertise in strategic planning, operational and financial analysis and support, as well as transaction guidance.
Don’s leadership has been instrumental in driving growth, improving systems, and facilitating successful divestitures and acquisitions. Don was a MacKay CEO Forum Chair in Vancouver in 2016-2019 and is excited to be back with MacKay and launching a MacKay CEO Forum in the Okanagan Valley of BC. Our current membership includes an auto dealership, sales development, a dynamic multi-location large not-for-profit. We are looking for manufacturing, tourism, wineries, professional services, distribution and tech related members. Donald’s professional journey includes pivotal roles such as Executive Vice President and CFO at good natured Products Inc., where he led the company through a 900% revenue growth and operational expansion.
Don has held leadership positions at Eaglequest Golf Centers, The Loewen Group, and Silver Recycling Company, demonstrating his ability to navigate complex financial and operational challenges. A Chartered Accountant with honors, Don graduated from the University of Alberta with a Bachelor of Commerce degree. He has also contributed to various public, private and association boards, including the Greater Vancouver Real Estate Board and the National Golf Course Owners Association, showcasing his commitment to governance and industry development.

Don is deeply passionate about helping people and organizations move forward. He coaches CEOs and executives, helps leadership teams level up their performance, and runs workshops and speaking engagements on topics such as leadership, productivity, high performing teams, and ownership mentality.
Meeting Locations
Don’s Forum Group meets 7 times per year. Each member hosts the meeting at their preferred location which are hosted within the Greater Kelowna Area.
