Bernie Kollman is an experienced leader dedicated to driving economic prosperity and social impact. As a Forum Chair for MacKay CEO Forums, she supports business leaders in Edmonton, fostering a confidential and supportive environment for personal and professional development. Bernie’s leadership approach is both direct and empathetic, encouraging members to be open, supportive, and dedicated to their growth.

Bernie is currently a trustee of Melcor REIT, a board member of the Edmonton Airport Authority, and an advisory board member for Arrkann Trailer and RV Centres, where she helps drive strategic innovation. Her involvement with these organizations reflects her commitment to regional economic development. Bernie’s charitable leadership work focuses on uplifting others and creating pathways for success. Her numerous initiatives have increased resources and support for vulnerable populations, showcasing her dedication to building strong communities.

Bernie’s extensive past board roles also highlight her broad leadership experience. Bernie holds an ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and is the Chair of the Edmonton Chapter, reflecting her commitment to effective governance. She was recognized by the University of Regina with a Distinguished Humanitarian and Community Service Alumni Award and by the City of Edmonton with a Community Service Citation Award, Salute to Excellence.

Bernie has been recognized by Global TV as a “Woman of Vision,” was named one of the Top 50 Most Influential Albertans by Alberta Venture Magazine. As a Fellow of the Canadian Information Processing Society, Bernie has also been recognized for her contributions to advancing the IT profession, particularly for inspiring and mentoring young women.
