The forces shaping family enterprise have never moved faster. Economic shifts, a changing global order, and the rapid rise of AI are redefining what it means to build, lead, and steward a business across generations.
Families Summit of Minds is Family Enterprise Foundation’s signature retreat for the family business community. Set against the inspiring landscape of Banff, this intimate gathering brings together leaders of Canadian family enterprises and their next generation, alongside investors and thought leaders, for three days of candid dialogue about enterprise, legacy, and leadership. Attendance is intentionally limited to protect the trust and openness that make meaningful conversations possible.
Through keynotes, fireside conversations, interactive workshops, and guided “walkshops” through Banff’s trails, participants will explore:
- Socio-economic forces: how economic and societal change is reshaping prosperity, responsibility, and opportunity for enterprising families
- Family business: the lasting strengths and complex dynamics that define family enterprise across generations
- The geopolitical landscape: what a shifting global order means for families stewarding businesses, capital, and influence
- Adaptive resilience, technology and AI: how families can respond to technological transformation with purpose and foresight
Whether you’re leading the business today or preparing to lead it tomorrow, you’ll leave with fresh perspectives, practical ideas, and lasting connections with families who share your challenges and ambitions.
