Jesse is a proven entrepreneur with expertise in high level business development, non-profit development and event management. With over 20 years of experience, most notably in tech, insurance, telecommunications and non-profit management, he excels and prides on connecting people to the right resources and creating collaborative, long term partnerships.
It all started when Jesse followed his passion for music and launched a little DJ business in 2000, which was supposed to be a hobby at the time. Within 6 months, it grew to employ over 10 contractors, and became one of the most successful DJ companies in the Lower Mainland, completing over 50 events a year.
Jesse used this experience and founded Event Check-in LTD, where he consulted with for-profit CEO’s and executives on event, fundraising and marketing strategies to maximize ROI, and in the process, helped raised over $900,000 in 3 years for the non-profit sector!
Jesse also served as the Executive Director for the Maple Ridge/Pitt Meadows Chamber of Commerce. Working closely with member CEOs and business owners, Jesse led the rejuvenation of the Chamber by providing effective leadership to increase the chamber’s relevancy for all members, resulting in financial regeneration and community recognition. He successfully led the financial restructuring of the Chamber, increased membership by 30% and substantially increase sponsorship revenues by over 75%.
While at TELUS, Jesse drove business development and provided consultation to C-suite executives on integrating VoIP and security solutions for corporate technology and communication systems.
Jesse attributes much of his success to his commitment to Rotary International (one of the biggest humanitarian service organizations in the world) as the current President of the Rotary Club of Haney.
He is the founder of “Empower a Youth”, an organization that provides entrepreneurship and financial literacy education opportunities for youth.
Jesse lives in Pitt Meadows and in enjoys spending time with his 3 amazing boys, helping non-profits with their fundraising and of course, loves to DJ.
